Placenta Medicine

Throughout time and across cultures, the placenta has been honored by families as a counterpart to the child, a sacred ally, and a source of nourishment. I provide packages for new birthing parents who wish to preserve or consume their placenta. Placenta medicine may provide support for hormonal balance, restoration of iron levels, boosting milk supply, and an increase in energy.

Available Packages

Replenish - $200

  • Placenta encapsulation: Your placenta medicine will come in vegan capsules (made from vegetable cellulose) in an amber jar. Recommendations for consumption included.

  • Umbilical cord keepsake: The remaining umbilical cord will be preserved for the family to have as a keepsake for years to come.

Rebuild - $150

  • Frozen placenta cubes prepared for raw consumption. Recommendations for consumption and smoothie recipe included.

  • Umbilical cord keepsake

Remember - $100

  • Ceremonial placenta burial: I will walk you through the steps of burying your placenta either on the land, or in a pot. I will create a space for ceremony, and help facilitate the burial in alignment with traditional African American practices.

  • Placenta print: I will stamp your placenta onto watercolor paper, and provide the option of laminating it for preservation. Embellishments with paint available upon request.
