I believe that the body has an innate wisdom. It has an inherent ability to adapt, regulate, transform, and heal, no matter who you are. I believe that we are all one, and much more similar than we are different. None of us are special, but each of us matter.

When we move away from the ego and mind, and tap into the messages our body sends us, we honor a wisdom that is worth following. When we move away from the compulsive need to control, we begin to more clearly hear and trust the intuition that lives in the body.

I am not the expert of your body, nor your birth. I do not manage birth, nor my clients. I listen to the innate wisdom of my clients, and I elevate them. I trust that you are the expert of your body and your journey.

I believe birth is a physiologic process, like digestion or breathing. When we approach birth with fear and distrust, we are out of alignment. Birth has a rhythm, flow, and journey that it so graciously invites a new mother to embark upon. When we halt this journey by intervening unnecessarily, we disrupt a rite of passage and an opportunity for deep healing and transformation.

I believe that birth brings deeper intuition and altered states of consciousness to the surface. When birth is undisturbed, it allows one to open and bloom in a new way. It is the ultimate preparation for parenthood. As you birth a new soul into being, your new phase of parenthood begins. It is my greatest privilege to witness this natural unfolding.

I believe that each of us comes from one Source or Creator — whose wisdom lives within us all, is revealed when we need it, and has much to teach us. Currently, we are out of balance as a planet and as a people, and it has blinded us from tapping into Source. When spirituality is removed from birth, we miss the intuitive and cosmic experience that it is. Instead, even when there is no emergency present, birth is often treated as a medical crisis or invasive procedure.

I follow a decolonial, holistic, and mystical way of approaching birth, the body, and the person. Birth has always been here, and will always be here. We do not need to hold the same beliefs in order to work together, but we must meet the journey of birth with curiosity, openness, and reverence for the Divine.
